Sophi Phaco System
The Sophi phaco system has been designed to satisfy several requirements in cataract surgery. It excels in maintaining anterior chamber stability due to its intraocular pressure Control Pump Infusion, which does not rely on gravity or infusion pressure. Meanwhile, surgeons can choose between Peristaltic Pump aspiration or Clean Venturi aspiration.
As the first battery-operated phaco system, Sophi eliminates cumbersome cables and offers Bluetooth connectivity for seamless integration with other devices. It also boasts an intuitive user interface, voice and visual feedback, and advanced assistance systems. Sophi’s smart design of consumables also leads to high functionality and economic benefits, while offering waste reduction from a lean and optional reusable day cassette.

Tango Reflex Neo
Although YAG posterior capsulotomy is a well understood indication, shortcomings associated with legacy laser equipment used to perform the procedure may result in ongoing vision problems for some patients.
With Tango Reflex Neo from Ellex, a brand of Lumibird Medical, it is possible to create YAG posterior capsulotomies with fewer iatrogenic floaters, keeping intraocular lenses (IOLs) intact and with precise capsulotomy diameters.
Maintain full visual focus with up to 2mm extended posterior offset. Focus depths greater than those conventionally in use for capsulotomy produce
a powerful anterior moving hydraulic jet effect, translating into neater tissue separation and superior IOL protection against ionised plasma strikes.

CSO Cataract Suite
The CSO Cataract Suite combines both the highly sought-after Osiris Aberrometer and the Sirius+ Topographer /Tomographer into a single system.
This unique paring of both the placido disk topography / Sheimpflug tomography and the real-time, high-precision aberrometer, provides the ability to scan up to 45,000 points with a speed of 33 images per second during objective measurements and planning of premium, monofocal, and toric intraocular lenses (IOLs)
The suite goes beyond IOL modules. It also has extensive pre- and post-operative tear film assessments, infrared (IR) images of meibography, and noninvasive tear break-up time (NIBUT) analysis. It also includes densitometer, keratoconus, glaucoma detection, dynamic puillography, intrastromal rings planning, IOL calculation, aberration analysis, anterior chamber depth, corneal surface elevations, pachymetry, Zernike wavefront, and real-time aberration analysis.

RayOne EMV and EMV Toric IOLs
Developed in collaboration with Professor Graham Barrett, RayOne EMV’s truly non-diffractive optic uses positive spherical aberration to uniquely extend vision while avoiding the problems that can arise with diffractive lenses. RayOne EMV’s range of focus can be extended further with a customisable offset for enhanced monovision outcomes.

ZEISS At Lisa Trifocal IOL
Since it was first launched, the ZEISS At Lisa trifocal intraocular lens (IOL) has accumulated a wealth of clinical evidence in scientific literature attesting to its robust visual and refractive performance and predictability. With more than 85 peer-reviewed publications by 60 different authors detailing the results of over 9,000 eyes from 4,500 implanted patients, ZEISS At Lisa Trifocal offers surgeons an IOL that has proven consistently to deliver excellent outcomes in terms of visual quality and patient satisfaction.*
Using asymmetric light allocation to ensure best visual outcome at all three distances, the At Lisa trifocal IOL has repeatedly demonstrated spectacle independence at higher than 90%* with several studies demonstrating full spectacle independence.*

Vision Australia: Support
Beyond IOL Surgery
Patients often experience glare and sensitivity to light after cataract surgery. Managing these symptoms is essential if the ability to see clearly is affected.
Fitover sunglasses by Jonathan Paul are an ideal solution as they are fitted with polarised lenses, which help reduce glare and provide 100% UVA protection. These non-mirrored lenses are available in three colours: grey, amber, and yellow.
Although cataract surgery will generally improve eyesight, if other eye pathologies are present (such as aged-related macular degeneration), patients may still require low vision aids to assist with reading. Different magnification solutions – optical, electronic, and portable – are available, depending on the reading task.
The Vision Australia Store offers a comprehensive selection of products for people who are blind or have low vision.

Miochol-E for Miosis
Miochol-E (Acetylcholine chloride 20mg/2 mL) is used to obtain complete miosis of the iris in seconds after placement of the IOL in cataract surgery and in penetrating keratoplasty, iridectomy and other anterior segment surgery where rapid miosis may be required.
Miochol-E is free from natural latex.

HOYA Vivinex IOLs
The Vivinex intraocular lens (IOL) family includes XY1 and XC1 aspheric and XY1A toric IOLs, preloaded on the proven iSert injector.
More than nine million preloaded HOYA IOLs implanted worldwide testify to HOYA’s excellent delivery consistency. HOYA states that Vivinex toric lenses have shown outstanding stability postoperatively, with clinical studies showing no lenses rotated by more than five degrees after six months.
The glistening-free hydrophobic acrylic material and proprietary aspheric optic design add up to improved image quality with Vivinex.

Medicontur 877PTY Bi-Flex
Medicontur 877PTY Bi-Flex preloaded hydrophobic toric lenses, part of the Bi-Flex family of lenses, features a double C loop haptic design with excellent long-term rotational, axial and torsional stability. The Bi-Flex family also includes preloaded hydrophobic monofocals, hydrophilic torics with custom powers available up to 24.0D cyl, Liberty trifocal, trifocal toric, and extended depth of vision options.
These are high-quality lenses with no glistenings, a very high ABBE number of 58.0 for low chromatic aberration/maximum contrast sensitivity, and neutral asphericity for increased depth of field. The 877PTY lenses can comfortably be paired with 1stQ AddOn trifocal lenses to provide reversible multifocality via the planned dual lens procedure.

Heidelberg Anterion
Anterion uses the power of high-resolution swept-source optical coherence tomography (OCT) images to provide the most important anterior segment examinations and measurements in one modular, upgradeable platform.
The result: A single workflow-efficient solution that brings together corneal topography and tomography, biometry measurements and IOL calculations to transform the day-to-day routines in cataract and refractive surgery as well as cornea and glaucoma diagnostics.
Anterion delivers high-quality images and comprehensive measurements while minimising the time needed to perform multiple anterior segment examinations. The acquisition time is fast with no need to move the patient. At the same time, visual confirmation of all measurements with high-resolution swept-source OCT images provides diagnostic confidence.
Manage multiple diagnostic images with the flexibility and power of the HEYEX 2 image management and device integration platform.
