Tecnis PureSee

At Johnson and Johnson Vision, we understand sight is precious. We know patients’ lives don’t stop at sunset, and neither should their confidence in being able to see clearly or drive at night. The Tecnis PureSee intraocular lens (IOL) has Tecnis OptiBlue technology,1 a proprietary violet light filtration that blocks the shortest wavelengths of light, which produce the most light scatter, helping to minimise visual disturbances (halo, glare) when driving at night. This supports patients with Tecnis PureSee IOLs in having consistent visual outcomes,2,3 with high image contrast in all lighting conditions4 that is comparable to a monofocal-like dysphotopsia profile.5

enVista Envy

The new enVista Envy is a full range of vision intraocular lens (IOL), delivering 4D of continuous visual range to help patients achieve spectacle independence. Incorporating an apodised, diffractive design with shorter, smoothed steps, it provides excellent tolerance to glare, haloes, and starbursts as well as outstanding performance in all lighting conditions. Additionally, enVista Envy allows most astigmatic patients to be treated with greater precision, due to its low toric powers starting at 0.9D, and its tight range. The enVista Envy is built on the trusted enVista platform, which is known for its ease of intraoperative manipulation. This is the only IOL with US Food and Drug Administration labelling of ‘glistening free’, and it has excellent rotational stability to ensure precise toric outcomes.

Procap with Tango Reflex Neo

With more patients suffering posterior capsular opacification (PCO) following cataract surgery and with newer generation intraocular lenses (IOLs), higher precision is required to perform posterior capsulotomy.

With mode-specific mirror positioning and true coaxial illumination, Ellex’s second-generation Reflex design allows for titratable illumination from full, to partial or no red-reflex, giving complete spatial integrity and excellent contrast of the posterior capsule and other important ocular structures.

The Tango Reflex Neo offers leading-edge YAG laser technology, delivering a four nanosecond ultra Gaussian pulse at high peak power – achieving the industry’s lowest optical breakdown energy at 1.4 mJ in air.* Performing capsulotomy at lower, more efficient energy levels, the Tango Reflex Neo enables a perfectly centred and precise capsulotomy, making this a highly effective option for all types of IOLs to help achieve successful patient outcomes.

iStent infinite

With three anatomically designed stents preloaded into an elegant injector system, iStent infinite is designed to:

• Provide powerful technology to deliver foundational, 24/7, long-term control of intraocular pressure (IOP) in patients with glaucoma, including those who have failed prior medical and surgical intervention,*

• Offer interventional glaucoma, a truly micro-invasive alternative to medications and more invasive procedures,

• Restore physiologic outflow by creating arcs of flow spanning up to eight clock hours (240°) while minimising tissue disruption – broad coverage vs other MIGS procedures,* and

• Provide the versatility to treat a variety of patients in combination with cataract surgery or as a standalone procedure.

iStent infinite is designed to maximise outflow while minimising disruption to natural anatomy by occupying only 3% of Schlemm’s canal, thereby leaving 97% untouched. This, coupled with a patented multidirectional stent design, helps bypass resistance and restore physiologic outflow.

Anterion Cataract App

The Heidelberg Anterion Cataract app combines the most important biometry measurements for cataract surgery planning: corneal analysis, anterior chamber depth, lens thickness, and axial length. The optimised swept-source optical coherence tomography (SS-OCT) technology allows for accurate measurements and visual confirmation with high-resolution images, even through dense cataracts.

The ability to assess total corneal power leads to a more suitable intraocular lens (IOL) selection, while the integrated spherical and toric IOL calculator adds convenience to the pre-operative routine.

With impressive high-resolution OCT images that span from the anterior surface of the cornea to the posterior surface of the lens, this app provides a visual analysis of the whole anterior segment. Seeing such exceptionally clear images supports precise surgical planning.

RayOne EMV Toric

Developed in collaboration with Professor Graham Barrett, RayOne EMV’s truly non-diffractive optic uses positive spherical aberration to uniquely extend vision. RayOne EMV’s range of focus can be extended further with a customisable offset for enhanced monovision outcomes.

Unlike many intraocular lenses (IOLs), RayOne EMV does not use light splitting technology. This increases depth of focus, resulting in low levels of dysphotopsia, similar to standard monofocal lenses. RayOne EMV has a unique patented aspheric optic that induces controlled positive spherical aberration. Compared to a lens with zero spherical aberration, the carefully controlled positive spherical aberration induced by RayOne EMV spreads light along the visual axis, elongating the focal range from far into intermediate with up to 1.5D depth of focus (per lens on the spectacle plane).

ZEISS At Lisa

Increasingly, cataract patients expect to be able to maintain their active lifestyle into older age, thus they require an intraocular lens (IOL) solution that enables them to perform most daily activities without visual aids. The At Lisa tri family from ZEISS is a trifocal technology that offers patients spectacle independence and is supported by a wealth of clinical evidence.

Since its launch, the ZEISS At Lisa tri family of IOLs has accumulated an extensive collection of clinical evidence attesting to its robust visual and refractive performance as well as predictability. With over 75 peer-reviewed publications by 60 different authors detailing the results of over 9,000 eyes from 4,500 implanted patients, the ZEISS At Lisa tri offers surgeons an IOL that consistently delivers excellent results in terms of visual quality and patient satisfaction.

Elon

Elon is an extended depth of focus (EDOF) intraocular lens (IOL) that uses cutting-edge wavefront linking technology. Manufactured by Medicontur Medical Engineering (Zsámbék, Hungary), this hydrophobic acrylic lens enhances distance and intermediate vision while minimising dysphotopsia and other light-related disturbances.1

Elon is available in toric and non-toric models. The lens is manufactured using a high-quality hydrophobic material with a high Abbe number of 58.0 for low chromatic aberrations (less loss of contrast due to dispersion of light). The lens comes in an easy-to-use preloaded injector. Studies have revealed excellent results with Elon IOLs, in terms of visual acuity, refractive stability, and patient satisfaction.2 Its ability to provide good vision at multiple distances with minimal side effects makes it a valuable option.2
