Luxury Splash for Kering Eyewear

Kering Eyewear – home of luxury brands such as Gucci, Bottega Veneta, Cartier, St Laurent, and Maui Jim – has made a splash with the release of its 2026 European spring/summer collections at a launch event at the Museum of Contemporary Art in Sydney earlier this year.

Elegance Meets Individuality with Valentino

New to the Kering stable after the announcement of a global partnership agreement earlier this year is Valentino. Drawing from haute couture legacy and a refined sense of culture, the latest collection reinterprets the codes of the Maison into a vocabulary of bold silhouettes and high-end constructions. At the centre of the collection is the Valentino ‘Vlogo’, first introduced in 1968 and reinterpreted through a variety of material treatments. Whether cut directly into acetate temples, lasered onto metal surfaces, or embedded beneath lacquer, the Vlogo becomes a structural and symbolic element that links each frame to the Maison’s history. The classic Maison Valentino’s inspirations come through as contemporary shapes: bold cats eyes, geometric flats, studded ovals, and slim metal constructions with crystal details. Colour plays a central role, with a palette that ranges from butter white and solid black to transparent havanas, ivory stripes, and the iconic red. The result is a season anchored in contrast – between couture and everyday wear, structure and ornament, history and reinvention.

Saint Laurent

Saint Laurent’s new collection – Howl – is a standout for its bold sculptural volumes and distinctive plumped effect. The unisex collection launched with two silhouettes: SL 901, an oversized rectangular frame, and SL 902, an oversized pilot shape. Both feature the Maison’s vintage logo on the temples. Available in a wide palette ranging from deep black and rich browns to transparent shades including beige, cognac, khaki, yellow, red and nicotine-tones.
