At a time when the profession of optometry is rapidly changing – with new treatment paradigms, the use of artificial intelligence, and an evolving scope of practice – structured learning combined with professional networking has never been more important.
Optometry Clinical Conference 2025 will address all of these topics and more. Taking place from 17–18 August at Centrepiece, Melbourne Park, this professional event will be delivered by Optometry Victoria South Australia, Optometry Queensland Northern Territory, and Optometry Tasmania. It offers up to 14 CPD hours, including up to five therapeutic interactive hours, through a practical and relevant programme built by optometrists who understand the challenges faced by members of the profession.
Programme highlights include:
• Professor Robyn Guymer AM on early detection and co-management of geographic atrophy,
• Professor Celia Chen on clinically efficient anisocoria triage,
• Jane Duffy on navigating Medicare compliance and ensuring clinical records meet legal, ethical, and audit standards, and
• Richard Johnson on prescribing insights from a decade of therapeutic care in New Zealand.
Plus, delegates can choose from four expert-led workshops covering soft multifocal contact lens fitting, virtual reality visual field testing, gonioscopy techniques, and practical skills in foreign body removal.
Every session is designed to be clinically relevant, practical, and immediately applicable in practice.
