EyeHub, an ophthalmology practice on the Sunshine Coast founded by Dr Sonia Moorthy, has become home to the first ZEISS Advanced Laser Suite platform in Queensland.
Additionally, Dr Moorthy has become the first female laser vision correction surgeon to deploy the Advanced Laser Suite and offer Presbyond and SMILE Pro (small incision lenticule extraction) in the state.
Dr Moorthy said the investment presents a shift in what is technically and surgically available to patients across the region. “No longer do locals need to limit their options or travel to capital cities for laser surgery. World class laser surgery is available right here, close to home.”
Dr Moorthy has also invested in artificial intelligence (AI) enabled software to enhance service delivery to her patients.
“Everything we do is cloud based: our latest generation practice management software, our diagnostic workflow, we’re even using AI for patient engagement and management, with digital consents, patient registrations and communication”, Dr Moorthy said.
