Optica Life Accessories has acquired KE Optical, a respected supplier of optometric accessories with strong industry relationships. Many of KE Optical’s products carry the Australian Made logo and the company partners with a local social enterprise that provides employment opportunities for people living with disabilities.

Tom Nichol, Managing Director of Optica, said the acquisition of KE Optical would create a one-stop destination for quality branded optical accessories, tools, parts, and equipment, and strengthen Optica’s position as a market leader. “Our goal is to build on KE’s strong foundation and deliver an even higher standard of customer service, responsiveness, and reliability for our customers across Australia,” he said.

For existing KE customers, Optica has confirmed that all accessory artwork files and branding records will be securely retained, ensuring continuity for future orders. KE’s existing contact details will also remain in place, making the change seamless for current customers.

Michael Krutsch, former owner of KE Optical, said ensuring KE’s customers and suppliers would continue to be well supported was a priority in the sales process. “Optica has the scale, team, and systems to take KE forward and deliver the level of service our customers deserve. I want to sincerely thank everyone for their loyalty and support over the years.”

The integration of KE Optical’s operations into Optica will occur gradually over the coming months.
