Refresh Plus

Dry eye can be caused by a variety of triggers, including physiological, behavioural, and environmental factors. Normally, eyes are kept moist by tears, which play an important role in lubricating the eyes and protecting them from infections. Fortunately, lubricating eye drops are available to help relieve dry eye symptoms.

Refresh Plus eye drops are formulated to soothe everyday dry eyes and ease the discomfort associated with contact lens use. Refresh Plus contains electrolytes present in natural tears, helping to maintain tear balance. The preservative-free formula reduces the risk of irritation caused by preservatives. Refresh Plus can be used while wearing contact lenses and is available in convenient single-use vials.

Medmont Meridia Professional

The Meridia Pro is more than a corneal topographer. It offers a robust set of dry eye analysis tools, including meibomian gland imaging, meiboscale meibography grading, tear meniscus height measurements, and visual dry eye reports.

Custom lens specialist Dr Jillian Campbell of Richard Lindsay and Associates said the Meridia Pro has helped her “put more of a focus on managing dry eyes and we’re seeing more patients come back because they want those scans to see if their treatment has been working”.

“I love using meibography to take photos of the glands and then the [Meridia Pro] generates these excellent grading reports that you can show to the patient. It’s great for educational purposes, showing what type of dry eye they have, and the reason for their symptoms.

“I then print the dry eye report, give it to the patient, and it includes their diagnosis, management and review schedule, and their instructions for management. When they come back in, I can compare it to their baseline scan.”
