The theme for the 2025 Association for Research in Vision and Ophthalmology (ARVO) annual meeting is ‘i3: imagining innovation and intelligence in vision science’. The meeting will address how vision research is continually being transformed by new information and technologies, including improved artificial intelligence and big data, increasingly sensitive and elegant molecular techniques, sophisticated imaging modalities, virtual reality, and breakthroughs in gene therapy.

GenEye

Unlike traditional conferences, GenEye uses immersive learning to focus on the mind, body, and surgical skills required for exceptional care.

With a multidisciplinary team of ophthalmologists, psychologists, physiotherapists, and industry leaders presenting, GenEye explores rarely discussed yet critical topics that elevate good practitioners to great ones. Ophthalmologists and trainees, optometrists, medical students, and junior doctors are all welcome; the event spans three one-day courses, tailored to specific professional groups.

ODMAFair25 

27–29 June 2025

ODMAFair, presented by the Optical Distributors and Manufacturers Association, will showcase the latest eyewear, lenses, and devices while also offering a series of educational sessions and hands-on workshops designed to arm delegates with new knowledge and skills to immediately elevate their optometric practice. Catering to all practice members, the sessions will be organised into three distinct streams: Business, Practice Management, and Dispensing.
