Cylite
Australian Hyperparallel Optical Coherence Tomography
(HP-OCT) manufacturer Cylite has agreed to integrate the recently launched PreMO app into its software.
PreMO (Predicting Myopia Onset and progression) is evidence-based myopia risk indicator software developed by world renowned expert, Professor James Wolffsohn from Aston University, and based on research conducted by colleagues at Ulster University. The app uses spherical equivalent refraction, axial length, and parental myopia status to stratify the future risk of developing myopia as well as its progression once myopia has developed.
The app presents axial length for individual patients against predictive growth curves, as well as predicting at what age they will become myopic and how fast they will progress.
PreMO is anticipated to be added to the HP-OCT
software sometime in 2024.

OCULUS Myopia Master
The OCULUS Myopia Master measures three key gement easier and more reliable. Measurement of refraction, axial length, and keratometry is delivered in a stylish unit with a comprehensive myopia software suite, providing clarity of diagnoses. In addition, selected action recommendations and progression diagrams are presented in an intuitive way.
This is the only device to incorporate the latest Brien Holden Vision Institute (BHVI) data for estimating future myopia progression, enabling personalised reports detailing a child’s current myopia status and their likely outcome in adulthood. BHVI’s data sets – with diverse strata of age, gender, and ethnicity – improve modelling in a wider patient cohort and enhance parent counselling, giving practitioners confidence without compromise.

Eyerising International
Eyerising International has developed a myopia management device that uses Repeated Low-Level Red-Light therapy (RLRL).
Eyerising’s myopia management device uses patented technology to gently stimulate blood flow in the ocular fundus. The device is designed to alleviate scleral hypoxia
and control axial lengthening.
One of the key advantages of this therapy is convenience – it takes just three minutes, twice a day, five days a week of therapy at home. Additionally, a simple touchscreen control makes it suitable for children as young as three years old.
The device has a good safety record and profile, is simple to use, non-invasive, and clinically proven to be effective with up
to 87.7% efficacy in controlling myopia.
