Held in conjunction with the World Council of Optometry (WCO4), O=MEGA23/WCO4 will deliver 100 diverse educational sessions for optometrists, practice managers, and optical dispensers. Keynote speaker Professor James Wolffsohn from Aston University will present on the power of consensus, feeling secure in how you practise, giving your patients a better service, and embracing change in a safe and secure way. A Masterclass program will offer separate streams for dispensing and practice management. The O=MEGA23 Trade Fair will showcase the latest technologies, products, and services from the sector.

This annual four-day trade exhibition brings together approximately 900 exhibitors from 42 countries to present the latest in eyewear, optical accessories and technology. This year, for the first time, SILMO will present the Responsible Company prize, recognising a company’s effort to reduce its environmental footprint and optimise its social impact. The Optical Design Contest, themed Sport, will recognise students of eyewear design and, alongside the famous SILMO d’OR awards ceremony, the Première Classe prize will be awarded to an original product created by a unique eyewear designer, strictly from a fashion viewpoint.

RANZCO’s Annual Scientific Congress brings together ophthalmologists from across Australia and overseas to share and discuss the latest innovations, techniques, and advances in eye health care. Topics discussed include glaucoma, cataract, cornea, uveitis, and surgical retina. Additionally, the Congress features named lectures such as the Sir Norman Gregg Lecture, the Ida Mann Lecture, and the Fred Hollows Lecture in which invited world-leading ophthalmologists explore important eye health issues.

The Specsavers Clinical Conference (SCC) is one of the largest eye care conferences in Australia. Bringing together a growing audience of optometrists and optometry professionals from across Australia and New Zealand, this hybrid conference comprises an in-person event in Sydney with the full conference also delivered virtually. Speakers include Dr Brendan Cronin, Dr Kate Reid, Dr Lindsay McGrath, Dr Rushmia Karim, Professor Adrian Fung, Dr Shenton Chew, and pharmacist Ljubica Bukorovic. Topics include myopia, keratoconus and allergies, intraocular lesions and masquerades, optic nerve stroke, and diabetic retinopathy. The winners of the Dame Mary Perkins Award and Doug Perkins Medal will be announced.
