CSO Cobra+ Fundus Camera

Cobra+ is a leading edge, user-centric, non-mydriatic digital fundus camera for early detection of macular diseases and meibomian gland dysfunction. The five-megapixel camera produces high-definition (HD) retinal images up to a 50° visual field. It can capture images through small pupils with a diameter of 2.5 mm.

Cobra+ has nine internal fixation points, allowing quick acquisition of HD peripheral retina images. Multiple HD images can be combined into one panoramic image. CSO has built in many user-centric features, such as an automatic measurement of ‘cup to disc’ ratios, which increases the ease of use and the speed of glaucomatous disease detection.

In combination with CSO Phoenix software and the CSO Retimax, the retinal image can overlap with electroretinogram multifocal testing. This combination provides comprehensive retinal profiles and the precise health indicators of every analysed retinal area, which is useful for the diagnosis and follow-up of macular degeneration and degenerative hereditary retinal diseases. On a single screen, the CSO software can display multiple wavelength images from the Cobra+: it can display the original image, infrared image, and red-free image; as well as the choroidal, vascular, and nerve fibre images for in-depth retina examinations. An arteriovenous ratio (AVR) tool is also available to measure the ratio between the branch arteriolar-venous diameter, used to detect early signs of cardiovascular issues. The CSO Cobra includes infrared meibography, allowing you to screen patients for meibomian gland atrophy.

Cirrus OCT

While the neovascular form of age-related macular degeneration (AMD) attracts much of the spotlight, the non-neovascular, or dry form of AMD also requires monitoring as a chronic disease. The Advanced RPE Analysis, available on ZEISS Cirrus optical coherence tomography (OCT), was specifically created to manage non-neovascular AMD in all its forms.

The Advanced RPE Analysis is not a scan protocol, but a combination of two algorithms that can be applied to any macular cube scan to measure retinal pigment epithelium (RPE) elevations for mapping drusen and sub-RPE slab illumination. This enables detection of areas of geographic atrophy (GA) and their proximity to the fovea; progression; or encroachment onto the fovea. Either algorithm can be applied to any macular cube scan, past or present, and then exported as its own unique report.

As the Advanced RPE Analysis requires no additional scan captures, it can be retrospectively applied to any macular cube scan that has been captured on your ZEISS Cirrus OCT.

objectiveField Analyzer

The objectiveField Analyzer (OFA) is a powerful tool for detecting and monitoring age-related macular degeneration (AMD) by objectively assessing central and peripheral visual fields. Unlike traditional perimetry, the OFA eliminates patient subjectivity by using objective, multifocal pupillographic objective perimetry.

It is particularly effective in identifying early functional impairments before structural changes become evident on imaging. By analysing retinal response patterns, the OFA can detect subtle defects in macular function, aiding in early diagnosis and treatment planning. Its ability to track disease progression also makes it valuable for monitoring AMD patients over time. The OFA enhances clinical decision making by providing quantifiable, repeatable, and objective visual field assessments, improving the detection and management of AMD-related vision loss.

Optopol Revo HR

Detect early signs of macular disease with the Optopol Revo HR, distributed by OptiMed. Optopol introduced the first spectral domain optical coherence tomographer (OCT) to the ophthalmology market in 2004. Twenty years later, the company continues to innovate, unveiling the Revo HR as a major advancement in the technology.

The Revo HR scans at a remarkable three-micron resolution, enabling clinicians to detect early signs of diseases at the microvascular level. To detect early stages of disease in the posterior part of the eye, the new ultra-widefield module, included in the software 21 upgrade, captures up to approximately 105º with a single scan. This allows users to image both the macular area and the far periphery.

As new therapies are being integrated earlier into treatment regimens, early diagnosis is becoming increasingly crucial. This is especially important for first-line screening clinicians and ophthalmologists committed to excelling in patient outcomes.

Equipped with a wide 15 mm x 12 mm retina map scan, and the fastest scan speed of any spectral domain OCT (250,000 A-scans per second), it provides detailed imaging for efficient screening and monitoring of retinal conditions, including glaucoma and diabetic retinopathy.

The B-scan denoising software enhances image clarity, reducing noise for clearer results, and deep learning segmentation helps reduce false positives to improve diagnostic accuracy.

With one-scan imaging, the RS-1 streamlines workflows, improving both patient comfort and clinical efficiency. It is an essential tool for practitioners seeking high-quality, fast, accurate, cost-effective, and reliable retinal diagnostics in busy, high-volume clinics.
