National Pharmacies Awards for Optical Suppliers

Eyetelligence – the Australian-based healthtech company that uses artificial intelligence (AI) technology and retinal imaging to screen for eye and systemic diseases – is under new leadership with the appointment of American-based Jeff Dunkel.

The awards recognise quality, innovation, and integrity among the organisation’s suppliers of pharmaceutical and health products in the categories of ethical, retail, and optical excellence.

National Pharmacies Chief Executive Officer Vito Borrello said: “Our suppliers are an integral part of our success and are vital to the important role we play within our community.

“Acknowledging the efforts of everyone who works so hard is fundamental to our success. Well done to all our winners.”

The National Pharmacies Supplier of the Year awards for the optical category went to:

• Commercial Terms: Zeiss.

• Supply Chain: ProOptics.

• Communication and Service: Maui Jim.

• Recognition of Excellence (small supplier): The Elusive Miss Lou.

• Account Manager: Cynthia Stanes from Frames Etcetera.

Other National Pharmacies Supplier 2023 Awards recognised the ethical and retail suppliers of the year, with pharmaceutical organisation Viatris receiving three separate Supplier of the Year awards for ethical excellence and the Sapphire Group picking up two awards in recognition of outstanding field support and training, exceptional communication, and a commitment to growing business together.

There are 46 National Pharmacies operating in South Australia, Victoria, and New South Wales, with 19 optical stores operating in South Australia.
